References Management

To every article submitted to the Journal of Functional Food and Nutraceutical (JFFN), Citation and Reference are written according to the Harvard reference style. The references shall be ordered based on alphabetical and chronological order. We recommend using a reference manager application such as MendeleyEndNote, or Zotero.

 

CITATION

The citation comprises the last name of the first author and the publication year in brackets.

Example:

Citations in the text should be consistent (Lamury, 2017).

 

If you previously wrote already the name of the author in the text, only the year of publication requires to be written in brackets.

Example:

Lamury (2017) emphasized that citations in the text should be consistent.

 

Three or More Authors

A source that has 3 or more authors, the name of the first author should be written, followed by the phrase "et al."

Examples

It was emphasized that citations in a text should be consistent (Lamury et al., 2017).
